BEST SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD

Wild Caught From The Oceans

In a world facing the daunting challenge of food insecurity, where 811 million individuals experienced undernourishment in 2020, the critical need for solutions is undeniable. Beyond ensuring mere sustenance, the global pursuit of food security now extends to guaranteeing access to nutritious and safe food that meets dietary needs.

Sea to Table, a certified B Corp for corporate responsibility, has a mission to Help Americans to Eat Better Fish. We go beyond the supermarket offerings of farmed and imported fish to bring our customers only wild-caught, sustainable seafood from well-managed US fisheries.

OUR FISHERIES

BAP's Choose Seafood with Standards campaign

The Global Seafood Alliance is an international, nonprofit trade association dedicated to advancing responsible seafood practices through education, advocacy, and third-party assurances.

Through the development of its Best Aquaculture Practices and Best Seafood Practices certification programs, GSA has become the leading provider of assurances for wild and farmed seafood globally.

The organization’s work addresses the full spectrum of responsibility, from environmental responsibility and social accountability to food safety. Established in 1997 as the Global Aquaculture Alliance, GSA is headquartered in Portsmouth, N.H., USA.

Sustainable seafood is caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species and the well-being of the oceans, as well as the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities (Wikipedia).

“BUBBA GUMP” CONNECTION

As the only grandson of a “Bubba Gump” commercial shrimper (see pictures above), I have witnessed first-hand the damage done to our fisheries over more than 60 years of abusive practices. It is past time for all of us to do our part in restoring this valuable resource, so vital to our very existence!

GREEK SHRIMP FETA

My mission is to recreate the wonderful dishes and hospitality that I have shared for more than fifty years with friends from different cultures around the world. By using sustainable seafood, my meals have become much more creative and enjoyable, knowing that I am doing my part to save the planet!
